Conference Coming Soon!

Posted: 28.07.17

The NPUK Annual Family Conference is the perfect opportunity for our diverse community to come together under one roof; clinicians and medical professionals, families and NPUK staff, and everyone in between – it’s easy to see why this is the most important date in our calendar and one which everyone gets excited about year after year.

This time around our Conference will be held on the 22-24th September 2017 at the Mercure Haydock Hotel, which is nestled in between Manchester and Liverpool – a relatively central location which we hope will make it possible for more of our beloved community members to attend than ever before! If this is your first Conference (then welcome!) and you don’t know quite what to expect…then here are just a few words from past attendees to give you a little glimpse of what the weekend offers:

“Getting families, scientists and clinicians together is so important when trying to understand NP-C. It’s amazing how much this community has achieved and how much it it’s capable of in the future.” – Emily Maguire (PHD Student, Cardiff University)

“Conference give me a chance to meet so many wonderful people. It’s overwhelming how inspiring and amazing they are.” – Katie Reynolds (NPUK Volunteer)

“Our conference is truly special. It brings together the NP Community all under one roof; the families, scientists, and clinicians. We learn, support, and inspire one another whilst catching up with old friends and making new ones!” – William Evans (NPUK Chair)

“The highlight of the Conference for me is seeing all the children and teenagers having such a great time together.” – Fiona Dunne (mum to Grace, 12, NP-C)

“The NPUK Annual Family Conference is a fantastic opportunity to spend the weekend with patients, families, and professionals sharing knowledge, information and experiences.” – Laura Bell (NPUK Clinical Nurse Specialist)
