April 2021 marks thirty years for our small charity; that’s thirty years of developing awareness surrounding this rare but devastating group of genetic conditions…thirty years of pushing for research, clinical trials, and scientific progress…thirty years of care and support for individuals and families affected by Niemann-Pick diseases – thirty years of you, the NPUK Family!
We love this photo as it features so many of our community together (taken at the NPUK Annual Family Conference & Interactive Workshop 2017): seems to hold even more meaning during these challenging times when meeting together is not possible. In it you can see friends, family members, NPUK Staff and Trustees, scientists, health professionals, and also beloved members of our community who are sadly no longer with us, but inspire us to continue our work every single day…in the hope of better days for those affected by NPD across the globe. This is NPUK at 30, and it is what makes us who we are!
