Jeans for Genes Day is a fundraising and awareness building event which seeks to fund revolutionary research to help diagnose, understand, and find cures or treatments for genetic conditions affecting kids, including genetic diseases, cancer, and epilepsy.
1 in 20 kids is born with a genetic disease or birth defect. Most people likely know and care about someone affected. Genetic diseases (which includes Niemann-Pick Disease(s) are one of the leading causes of death in kids under four and the main cause of ongoing hospitalisation. To fight this epidemic, we need more research…and that’s why we need to get involved in events such as Jeans for Genes. Below is a quick run down of “how your denim makes a difference.”
